Hapcheon-gun, Special Traditional Travel Reexamining the Spirit of Seonbi

Hapcheon-gun, Gyeongnam announced on the 4th that it conducted the 2024 Seonbi Culture Experience event four times at the Yongam Seowon area.

This event consisted of a Seonbi culture field exploration program and a ‘Jideokche’ experience event related to Nammyung Seonsaeng, and was prepared to raise awareness among local residents and children and to promote the spirit and ideology of Nammyung Seonsaeng, focusing on historical sites such as Nammyung’s birthplace, Yongam Seowon, and Noeryongjeong.

During the Dongin Seonbi culture exploration, participants visited Andong Hahoe Village and Okyeonjeongsa to highlight the Seonbi spirit of Seoae Ryu Seong-ryong and the value of the Dongin representative Seonbi village.

In the Seoin Seonbi culture exploration, participants visited Hwayang Gugok in Goesan to explore the historical sites of Woam Song Si-yeol and spent time learning about his scholarship and spirit.

Additionally, Nammyung Seonsaeng’s ‘Jideokche’ experience event was composed of various activities, starting with a lecture on learning the Seonbi spirit at Noeryongjeong and Yongam Seowon, followed by an Anbin Nakdo dining experience and table manners education, and a cheerful Seonbi sports day.
