HD Hyundai Mipo was recognized for demonstrating strong safety and health leadership by investing an average of 70 billion KRW annually in HSE (Health, Safety, and Environment) and expanding safety management indicators in executive performance metrics. Despite being in a high-risk industry, the company was acknowledged for achieving zero serious accidents for eight consecutive years.
Yongma Logistics, the grand prize winner in the mid-sized and small enterprise category, operates a specialized safety and health management system tailored to the characteristics of the logistics industry by thoroughly analyzing accident types. In particular, to prevent major accidents such as fires, it continuously operates an emergency response and mutual cooperation system that includes the parent company, foreign workers, partners, and lessors.
Chairman Sohn stated, "Recently, social awareness and consensus on safety have risen higher than ever, and with the enactment of the Serious Accident Punishment Act, corporate responsibility has become even heavier," adding, "For safety advancement, the safety management paradigm must shift from strengthened legal regulations and post-incident punishment to safety culture innovation through autonomous workplace accident prevention activities."
