The Hope Bridge National Disaster Relief Association (President Song Pil-ho) announced on the 4th that it has been selected for the fourth consecutive time as a ‘Disaster Relief Professional Training Institution’ designated and reviewed by the Ministry of the Interior and Safety.

The Disaster Relief Professional Training Institution provides specialized education for public officials and volunteers responsible for on-site relief work, including ▲understanding disaster relief procedures and systems ▲use of supplies and equipment maintenance. The Ministry of the Interior and Safety selects new and re-designated institutions every two years through a public contest among specialized institutions, relief organizations, and industrial universities equipped with dedicated organizations, performance records, and facilities.

With this re-designation, Hope Bridge has secured continuity in professional education. As climate disasters intensify, it plans to further advance the education curriculum composed of theory and practical training.

Shin Hoon, Secretary General of Hope Bridge, said, “Being designated for the fourth consecutive time since 2018 has recognized our expertise and capabilities in the field of disaster relief education,” adding, “Through synergy between our core role as a relief support institution and specialized education, we will solidify our status as a leading professional relief fundraising organization.”
