Hwang Kyo-an "Woo Won-sik and Han Dong-hoon Who Obstructed the President Should Be Arrested" Supports Yoon

"People Power Party, Go Together with the President" Left on SNS

Former Prime Minister Hwang Kyo-ahn made remarks indicating his support for President Yoon Suk-yeol's declaration of martial law.


On the 4th, through social media (SNS), former Prime Minister Hwang said, "The pro-North Korean JUSAPA forces and the fraudulent election forces that have ruined the country must be completely eradicated," and added, "The People Power Party should go together with the President."

He then pointed to Han Dong-hoon, the leader of the People Power Party who criticized the martial law declaration, and Woo Won-shik, a lawmaker who led the vote on the resolution to lift martial law, saying, "Arrest them."


Meanwhile, leaders from both ruling and opposition parties, including Han Dong-hoon, Lee Jae-myung of the Democratic Party, and Cho Guk of the Innovation Party, have voiced criticism of President Yoon's martial law declaration. Lee said, "The declaration of emergency martial law was originally unconstitutional and invalid, but this has been confirmed once again through the National Assembly's resolution," and urged the military and police mobilized under the martial law declaration, "Following unconstitutional orders is also complicity. Please return to your original positions."


He continued, "A crisis is also an opportunity," emphasizing, "The declaration of martial law will be a decisive turning point to break the vicious cycle and return to a normal society," pledging to protect the people. Han also urged, "President Yoon must directly and thoroughly explain the dire situation, immediately dismiss the Minister of National Defense who recommended martial law, and hold all responsible parties strictly accountable."
