Han Dong-hoon, leader of the People Power Party, said immediately after President Yoon Seok-yeol declared the lifting of martial law, "I apologize for today's tragic situation. The president himself must provide a detailed explanation." He also expressed the view that Defense Minister Kim Yong-hyun, who proposed the martial law, should be immediately dismissed.

On the 4th, Han met with reporters at the National Assembly and said, "The Defense Minister who proposed this martial law must be immediately dismissed, and all responsible parties must be held strictly accountable."

He added, "As the ruling party, we will do what we must to minimize economic and diplomatic damage," emphasizing, "We will promptly convene the Supreme Council meeting and the party caucus to discuss the details."

The People Power Party plans to discuss response measures regarding President Yoon's declaration and lifting of martial law through closed Supreme Council and party caucus meetings at 7 a.m. and 8 a.m. that day.
