Famous female streamer Hangang has reportedly earned over 16 million KRW during her first broadcast after transferring from Naver's live streaming platform 'Chijijik' to 'SOOP.'
After announcing her move to SOOP recently, Hangang held her first broadcast on SOOP at 8 PM on the 1st. On this occasion, she engaged with fans by performing the Bbikkibbikki dance and choreography to Ros? and Bruno Mars' "APT."
Within about 40 minutes of starting the broadcast, Hangang received more than 80,000 star balloons. According to the star balloon tracking site PungToday, she received a total of 206,830 star balloons in one day. Each star balloon costs 110 KRW to consumers, and streamers receive cash payments after deducting a 20-30% commission. While AfreecaTV typically charges streamers a 30% commission, Hangang, being a popular streamer, is expected to benefit from a reduced 20% commission. Based on this, it is estimated that Hangang earned over 16.5 million KRW in a single day.
