Dongducheon City, Gyeonggi Province (Mayor Park Hyung-deok) announced on the 3rd that it held the unveiling ceremony for the opening of Gyeonggi-do's first elementary care-linked smart safety shuttle bus at the Dahamkke Care Center Branch 2 on the 2nd.

The event was held together with the opening ceremony of Dahamkke Care Center Branch 2, and about 70 people including Park Hyung-deok, Mayor of Dongducheon, Kim Seung-ho, Chairman of Dongducheon City Council, the Chairman of GH Corporation, Gyeonggi Provincial Assembly members, the President of Dongyang University, and local residents attended to celebrate the opening of Dongducheon City's smart safety shuttle bus.
The Dongducheon City smart safety shuttle bus (hereinafter referred to as 'Dongteuli') is a demand-responsive bus that operates by connecting 11 elementary schools in the city with the Dahamkke Care Center.
Students who wish to use Dongteuli can easily use the shuttle bus by selecting their desired destination and boarding location through the 'Dongteuli app' and then calling the bus.
The boarding target is elementary school students using the Dahamkke Care Center in the city, operating on weekdays from 12:30 PM to 9:00 PM after school, and the usage fee is free.
Meanwhile, 'Dongteuli' began pilot operation on November 25 to check the system and operational matters and started official operation on December 2.
Mayor Park Hyung-deok of Dongducheon said, “By opening the demand-responsive shuttle bus linked with the Dahamkke Care Center for the first time in Gyeonggi-do, Dongducheon City plans to establish a seamless care environment where children can move safely,” and added, “I hope everyone will join forces to protect a bright future together with the belief that children are the hope and precious assets of the Republic of Korea.”
