Gyeonggi Hanam City (Mayor Lee Hyun-jae) announced on the 3rd that it will recruit participants for the ‘2025 Hanam City Senior Job Project’ by the 18th to alleviate income gaps for low-income seniors and promote healthy aging.

The senior job project will recruit a total of 2,423 people across four types: ▲Senior Public Interest Activity Type (1,500 people) ▲Senior Capacity Utilization Type (678 people) ▲Community Project Group Type (211 people) ▲Employment Support Type (34 people), and will be carried out by six implementing organizations including the Hanam Senior Club.

The ‘Senior Public Interest Activity Type’ is a social participation job aimed at promoting public interest, recruiting basic pension recipients aged 65 and over, with a monthly salary of 290,000 KRW for 30 hours of work per month.

The ‘Senior Capacity Utilization Type’ involves working in social service fields by utilizing seniors’ experience and capabilities, such as senior service helpers, monitoring coordinators, public administration support, and safety management support, with about 630,000 KRW monthly salary for 60 hours of work per month.

The ‘Community Type’ is a job co-operated with private businesses such as joint workshops or transportation tasks, with working hours and activity fees varying according to the contract.

The ‘Employment Support Type’ matches job-seeking seniors aged 60 and over with companies, and like the Community Type, working hours and activity fees depend on contract conditions.

Applications for senior jobs are accepted in person at five implementing organizations: ▲Hanam Senior Club ▲Korean Senior Citizens Association Hanam Branch ▲Hanam City Comprehensive Social Welfare Center ▲Hanam Misa Riverside Comprehensive Welfare Center ▲Hanam Gam-il Comprehensive Social Welfare Center. For inquiries about recruitment and selection, applicants can contact each implementing organization.

Participants will be selected based on selection criteria such as income level, activity capability, and experience, with those scoring higher selected first. Final selection results will be individually notified by the respective implementing organization in January.

Additionally, after the opening of the Misa Senior Welfare Center (December 26), additional recruitment for the Senior Public Interest Activity Type will be planned starting January 6, 2025.
