Jeong Min-yeong, Kim Tae-gyeong, Kim Min-seo
A joint student team from Pukyong National University and Gyeongsang National University won the Excellence Award at the 2024 Busan-daum Travelthon competition.
Hosted by the Busan Tourism Organization from November 23 to 24 at the Busan Tourism Enterprise Support Center, this competition was held for high school and university students majoring in tourism-related fields in the Busan area to discover the most Busan-like new tourism content and startup ideas to solve the challenges faced by Busan tourism.
The team consisting of Jung Min-young and Kim Tae-kyung from the Department of Business Administration at Pukyong National University and Kim Min-seo from the Department of Pre-Medicine at Gyeongsang National University planned a "mobile-based gamification application to revitalize Busan's neglected tourist spots," receiving high praise in the competition.
Supported by the Pukyong National University LINC 3.0 Project Group, they worked together as the joint startup club team, Doyakmin, and were recognized for submitting a project that utilized each member’s major.
They proposed a distinctive yet practical idea to address the issue of regional extinction through a mobile game that the whole family can enjoy, which was evaluated as fitting the competition theme of "Creative Busan Tourism that Reveals Busan-daum."
