Startup Club Flea Market Also Unfolds
Dong-A University (President Lee Hae-woo) held the 2024 DA-LINC FAIR.
The event was hosted by the Ministry of Education and the National Research Foundation of Korea, and organized by Dong-A University LINC 3.0 Project Group (Director Choi Jeong-ho), Clean Energy Convergence Components and Materials Project Group (Director Choi Jeong-ho), and Biohealth Regulatory Science IP Leading Center (Director Jeon Mi-ra). It took place at the Seunghak Campus Gymnasium on the 28th of last month.
DA-LINC FAIR is a festival showcasing and promoting excellent achievements created through industry-academia-research cooperation among the LINC 3.0 Project Group, Clean Energy Convergence Components and Materials (RIS) Project Group, Biohealth Regulatory Science IP Leading Center, and the Startup Support Group, offering various hands-on experiences.
The event featured the ‘Capstone Design Competition (College of Engineering and Non-Engineering Colleges)’, ‘Startup Club Prototype Exhibition and Achievement Panel Exhibition’, ‘Field Training Essay Contest Panel Exhibition’, promotional booths of each project group, employment consulting with invited senior company alumni by field, clean energy major counseling, startup club flea market, and personal color diagnosis.
In the Capstone Design Competition, 36 projects from the College of Engineering and 16 projects from Non-Engineering Colleges were exhibited. According to on-site judging results, the grand prize in the College of Engineering category was awarded to the team ‘Tan & Tans’ (Department of Future Energy Engineering, Advisor Professor Cha Jong-moon) for their project ‘Production and Application of Activated Carbon Using Coffee Grounds,’ and in the Non-Engineering Colleges category, the team ‘Totoro’ (Department of Food and Nutrition, Advisor Professor Cha Jae-yoon) received the grand prize for their project ‘Seaweed Rice Bagel Using Maesaengi and Tot’.
In the field training essay contest, student Park Hyung-sun from the Department of Materials Science and Engineering won the grand prize, while students Kang Ji-eon from the Department of Electronic Engineering and Yoon Su-yeon from the Department of Food and Life Biotechnology received gold prizes.
At the startup club flea market, the Department of Electrical Engineering club ‘Damgeumju Workshop Damgeumjeong’ introduced the ‘My Own Damgeumju One-Day Class.’ They provided an experiential program where participants could make damgeumju using ingredients characteristic of the Busan region, allowing customers to create their own damgeumju and experience local culture.
The damgeumju made by customers, along with various types of damgeumju, will be sold through an online platform. Additionally, the item attracted attention as a high-quality product that allows convenient production of personalized damgeumju.
Director Choi Jeong-ho said, “This year marks the end of the LINC 3.0 project, and we are wrapping up the comprehensive achievements of the project so far. Over the past 13 years, Dong-A University has developed and operated various educational programs led by local companies and students based on the industry-academia-research cooperation leading model through the LINC project.”
Director Choi added, “We will do our best to achieve diverse and distinctive industry-academia-research cooperation, sustainable cooperation, and interactive cooperation between the university and local community.”
