Seongsimdang held the completion ceremony and admission briefing for the Seongsimdang workplace daycare center on the 25th of last month. Seongsimdang stated, "Employees can now work with peace of mind, safely and happily raising their children close to the workplace," and introduced it as "the nation's first daycare center open year-round, including weekends, holidays, and extended hours." The daycare center, located on Daeheung-ro in Jung-gu, Daejeon, has a capacity of 40 children, with four childcare rooms and one playground. Fifteen CCTV cameras are installed.

Seongsimdang daycare center became a hot topic in September when it was revealed that a four-story building expansion was underway for the daycare. At that time, the construction permit sign on the building under construction stated the project name as ‘Seongsimdang Workplace Daycare Center Expansion Construction,’ and the building owner was listed as ‘Rosso Co., Ltd.’ Rosso Co., Ltd. is the operating company of Seongsimdang. The daycare center is located about a 4 to 5-minute walk from Seongsimdang’s main store, allowing employees to entrust their children with confidence.

According to the Infant and Child Care Act, businesses employing 300 or more female workers or 500 or more workers in total are required to establish workplace daycare centers. Seongsimdang also explained the reason for establishing the daycare center in its January newsletter, stating, "Due to the continuous increase in Seongsimdang employees (300 or more female workers), we intend to fulfill the obligation to install childcare facilities."
