Introducing new products launched by the distribution industry on the 3rd. GS25, a convenience store operated by GS Retail, has introduced a self-service smoothie. Samlip is launching steamed buns by Chinese chefs Jeong Ji-seon and Lim Tae-hoon, who recently gained attention by appearing on a popular cooking survival program, and is holding a consumer voting event. Haitai Confectionery's gelato brand Pallazzo has released a Christmas limited edition premium gelato cake made with chewy gelato. Osulloc is also offering a holiday package in collaboration with fairy tale author Ryu Eun-ji, well known for her warm mood illustrations.
GS25 Introduces 'Self-Service Smoothie'
GS25, a convenience store operated by BGF Retail, will pilot self-service smoothies at three directly managed stores within this year, starting with GS25 Ground Blue 49 store this month, to verify effectiveness. Afterwards, the smoothie concept will be introduced to franchise owners nationwide through next year’s product exhibition and expanded to all stores nationwide. GS25 developed dedicated equipment and products tailored to the convenience store environment for the newly introduced smoothie concept. The smoothie machine operates on a self-service basis, providing store convenience and allowing customers to enjoy the fun of making their own drinks. The products use dedicated frozen cup fruits. Customers simply scan the QR code attached to the frozen cup fruit and insert it into the machine, which completes the smoothie in about one minute. The initial menu consists of three types: Mango Banana Smoothie, Strawberry Blueberry Mango Smoothie, and Strawberry Banana Smoothie. Various flavors beyond fruit smoothies will be added depending on customer response. The smoothie price is 3,000 KRW.
Samlip Steamed Buns Launch Star Chefs Jeong Ji-seon & Lim Tae-hoon Products
Samlip has reinterpreted the unique recipe of Chef Jeong Ji-seon, known as the 'Queen of Dim Sum,' to introduce Black Vinegar Gangjeong Steamed Buns. The pork is enhanced with black vinegar and Chinese-style soy sauce (noduyu) to create a deep flavor. The accompanying Chili Pepper Stir-fry Steamed Buns utilize the signature dish of Chef Lim Tae-hoon’s restaurant 'Doryang,' featuring stir-fried pork with bell peppers (gochujapchae). The pork is seasoned with oyster sauce and doubanjiang for a spicy umami taste, with bell peppers and bamboo shoots added for a crunchy texture. Both products are available nationwide at convenience stores, marts, supermarkets, and online. To coincide with the new product launch, Samlip has released videos titled 'Chinese Steamed Bun Battle, Steamed Bun Chefs' featuring the two chefs and is holding a steamed bun chef voting event from the 5th to the 31st of this month. Customers who vote for their preferred product will be entered into a draw to win dining vouchers for the two chefs’ restaurants (Tien Mimi and Doryang) for 2 teams (total 8 people) and Samlip steamed bun new products for 30 people.
Haitai Pallazzo Releases Two Christmas Gelato Cakes
Haitai Confectionery’s Pallazzo gelato cakes consist of 'Santa’s Choco Forest' and 'Heartball Snowman.' Santa’s Choco Forest is filled with Chocolatto gelato, the most popular flavor across all generations among Pallazzo’s 23 flavors. Chocolatto is made with rich Dutch dark chocolate to enhance its deep flavor. It is coated with chocolate cream and cocoa powder. Heartball Snowman is filled with Fragola (strawberry), the most popular fruit gelato. It is made by grinding domestic strawberries, making it fresher and more refreshing. Additionally, the snowman’s carrot nose is made of chocolate, with whipped cream heartballs and a red whipped cream scarf, adding a cute snowman visual and evoking the sentiment of a white Christmas.
Osulloc Holiday Limited Edition
Osulloc’s 2024 Holiday Edition is themed around the 'Winter Tea Market' hosted by the fictional group 'Osulloc Green Tea Scouts,' tea lovers who invite customers to enjoy diverse promotions this month. Customers who purchase over 60,000 KRW at the Tea Museum, Tea House, Tea Shop, or official online mall can purchase a limited edition padded blanket for 6,900 KRW. Customers who buy the holiday version 'Tea Variation O' will receive a limited keyring featuring the 'Green Tea Scout Puppy Member' graphic. Additionally, the popular 'Forest Tea Box,' well received on KakaoTalk Gift, is released as a Kakao exclusive edition. At the official online mall, partner malls, Tea Houses, and Tea Shops, customers will receive an 'Holiday Trial Kit' containing Osulloc’s best-selling teas based on purchase amount. Furthermore, tea food combination sets and Osulloc premium tin cookies, ideal for gifts, are released in limited packaging.
