The 4th degree conferment ceremony of the Gyeongbuk Provincial Happiness University Yeongdeok Campus was held on the 2nd at the Yeongdeok-gun Women's Center, attended by over 50 graduates and related personnel.

Gyeongbuk Provincial Government and the Gyeongbuk Talent Lifelong Education Promotion Institute jointly operate the Gyeongbuk Provincial Happiness University, which pursues a learning community culture where residents and the region grow together through enhancing residents' learning abilities and participating in high-quality lifelong learning. The Yeongdeok Campus is entrusted to Daegu Haany University for operation.
The 4th Yeongdeok-gun Campus started on April 1 and ran for 30 weeks every Monday, producing 33 graduates. It offered high-quality lectures in seven major areas: Gyeongbuk Studies, Civic Studies, Future Studies, Humanities, Socioeconomics, Living Environment, and Culture and Arts, along with field trips, social participation activities, and various club activities such as Hanji craft and Seokbujak making.
The 4th degree conferment ceremony was graced by Kwon Ki-chan, Director of the Lifelong Education Center at Daegu Haany University, Hwang Jae-cheol, Gyeongbuk Provincial Assembly member, and Lee Sang-su, Director of University Policy Division of the province. The ceremony proceeded in the order of academic report by Professor Seok Tae-sik of Daegu Haany University, degree and award conferment, guest congratulatory speeches, graduate remarks, and commemorative photo session.
Student Council President Kim Sang-won said, “Happiness University was a meaningful time that taught me how to live happily,” and added, “I am grateful to the Provincial Happiness University for providing various experiences, and I will continue to participate in lifelong learning with academic passion.”
Baek Young-bok, Head of the Autonomous Administration Division, said, “I extend my respect and congratulations to the graduates who passionately participated over the long 30 weeks,” and added, “As learning has no end, we will strive to provide various lifelong education opportunities so that residents can demonstrate their abilities and be guaranteed learning opportunities.”
