Platiere, Shinsegae Executive Director Jeong Areum Recruited... Accelerating AI-Based Solution Business

Digital platform solution specialist Platiier announced on the 3rd that it has recruited Jung Areum, Executive Director (pictured), formerly of Shinsegae I&C (I&C).

She has been appointed as the Head of the EC Business Division of Platiier's ECS Business Unit and plans to accelerate external expansion and strengthen cloud and artificial intelligence (AI)-based solution businesses.

Executive Director Jung is an IT expert who worked at Shinsegae Group for about 27 years, leading major IT system operations, infrastructure construction, private cloud development, information security enhancement, and external business expansion.

In particular, she oversaw the development and operation of core online and offline IT systems for various affiliates within Shinsegae and Emart Group. She is recognized for establishing the company's first information system development standards and methodologies, building the ITSM (IT Service Management) system, and contributing to the improvement of IT service quality.

A Platiier official stated, "The recruitment of Executive Director Jung is a strategic decision to strengthen the e-commerce business while accelerating innovation of X2BEE, a cloud and AI-based e-commerce solution. She is expected to play a key role in advancing infrastructure, including e-commerce systems."
