Recruiting a total of 3,671 for Senior Public Service Activities, Senior Capacity Utilization Projects, Community Project Groups, and Employment Support

Mapo-gu, Seoul (Mayor Park Gang-su) will hold the '2025 Mapo-gu Senior Job Fair' on December 10, 2024, at the first-floor Eoullim Madang of the Mapo-gu Office.

This fair is organized to provide various job opportunities and easy access to necessary information in one place, enabling seniors to continue a vibrant and stable life even after retirement.

Twelve organizations, including Mapo Senior Club, the Korean Senior Citizens Association, and Mapo Senior Welfare Center, will participate in the fair to offer comprehensive explanations and information about senior job projects.

Seniors visiting the fair can listen to detailed information about each project and apply for jobs on-site, saving time and effort.

The 2025 Mapo-gu senior jobs will recruit a total of 3,671 people across 56 projects in four fields: Senior Public Service Projects, Senior Capacity Utilization Projects, Community Business Groups, and Employment Support.

Park Gang-su, Mayor of Mapo District, is assisting participants with resume writing at the Senior Job Fair.

First, the 'Senior Public Service Projects,' which include street environment keepers, Nono (老老) Care, and Silver Docents, will recruit 2,650 people and provide an activity allowance of 290,000 KRW per month based on 30 hours of work per month.

Next, the 'Senior Capacity Utilization Projects,' which utilize seniors' professional skills and expertise such as the Senior Elevator Safety Team, Our Neighborhood Environmental Guardians, and Filial Meal Support Team, will recruit 482 people and offer a salary of up to 761,000 KRW per month based on 60 hours of work per month, along with health insurance benefits.

Additionally, the 'Community Business Groups,' operating stores such as cafes, convenience stores, and pizza shops, will recruit 240 people, while the 'Employment Support' sector, including facility managers and caregivers, will recruit 299 people.

On the day of the fair, various side events, including free dementia screenings provided by the Mapo-gu Dementia Relief Center, will be held to offer useful information to visitors.

Park Gang-su, Mayor of Mapo-gu, said, "Senior jobs are an important factor that brings vitality to the lives of seniors beyond mere economic support," adding, "We will continue to expand various opportunities for seniors to actively participate in society without being marginalized and actively support their healthy aging."
