The hair care brand ‘Gravity’ announced that it will start selling at major Emart stores nationwide from the 2nd.
Gravity Shampoo is a specialized shampoo for hair loss and volume care developed through collaboration between KAIST (Korea Advanced Institute of Science and Technology) Chair Professor Lee Hae-shin and young scientists. Since its launch on April 15, it has created a sensation in the market by selling over 310,000 bottles in about seven months. During a Lotte Home Shopping broadcast, it recorded sales of 1 billion KRW in just 40 minutes, establishing itself as a ‘mega hit product’ among consumers.
Gravity Shampoo’s core patented ingredient, ‘LiftMax 308™,’ forms a protective film at the moment it binds with hair proteins during the shampooing process, repairing damaged cuticle layers and preventing the loss of intercellular substances in the hair cortex. This technology, patented by KAIST, is characterized by providing elasticity to thin and weak hair, completing a rich hair volume.
Emart entry will begin with 21 major stores including Eunpyeong, Wolgye, and Dunsan branches, and will expand to a total of 84 stores by the end of the year.
Gravity Director Eom Sung-jun said, "Through entry into Emart, we have begun to actively expand our offline distribution channels," adding, "We will continue to broaden our distribution network so that customers can access Gravity products more easily and conveniently at various stores."
Along with entering Emart, Gravity is expanding its sales network through Hyundai Department Store, Lotte Home Shopping, Market Kurly, and major online malls, and is also preparing to enter additional channels such as Olive Young and Onnuri Pharmacy chains.
