Jangjang-gun Jeonggwan-eup, Volunteer Housing Environment Improvement for Low-Income Vulnerable Groups... Collaboration with Busan Hanmaeum Rotary

Gijang-gun Jeonggwan-eup Administrative Welfare Center (Eupjang Song Young-jong) announced on the 2nd that it recently conducted a housing environment improvement volunteer activity targeting low-income vulnerable households in collaboration with the Busan Hanmaeum Rotary Club (President Jeong Tae-gwan).

This volunteer activity was carried out for three low-income vulnerable households experiencing difficulties in daily life due to poor insulation caused by old window sashes.

Despite it being a holiday on November 24th, 40 members including Busan Hanmaeum Rotary Club President Jeong Tae-gwan and Rotary International District 3661 Regional Representative Park Dong-su participated. They supported the warm winter of neighbors in need by improving the housing environment through wallpapering, replacing LED lights, and installing new window sashes in the target households.

The supported resident expressed gratitude, saying, "I never dreamed of repairing my house because of financial difficulties, but thanks to the Rotary Club members' help, it feels like a new home, and I think I can spend this winter warmly."

President Jeong Tae-gwan said, "I am glad to be able to help neighbors in need live in better conditions this winter," and added, "We will continue to practice neighborly love to help the local community." He also expressed thanks to the members of Rotary International District 3661 Region 11 who participated despite the holiday.

Since August 2022, the Busan Hanmaeum Rotary Club of Rotary International District 3661 Region 11 has been continuously engaging in sharing activities such as improving the housing environment of vulnerable local households and donating daily necessities to low-income groups.
