Yangpyeong-gun Agro-Food Processing Companies Receive Hot Attention at COEX Food Week

Yangpyeong-gun, Gyeonggi Province (Governor Jeon Jin-seon) announced on the 2nd that six local companies participated in the ‘2024 Ministry of Agriculture, Food and Rural Affairs X COEX Food Week’ held at COEX, Seoul from the 20th to the 23rd of last month, attracting the attention of visitors.

The participating companies were △ Aroha (rice tea) △ MI3 Co., Ltd. (fermented vinegar) △ Maru Touch Cheese (dairy products) △ Chahapsida (solid tea) △ Ubojuchek Co., Ltd. (traditional wheat liquor) △ Slow Family (cordial).


These companies built trust with customers by transparently disclosing the entire production process based on raw materials obtained from Yangpyeong’s pristine nature and promoting their honest management philosophy. At this event, they also showcased processed products using local specialties, drawing attention from domestic and international buyers.


A visitor to the event gave a positive response, saying, “Yangpyeong products are a representative local food that satisfies both health and taste.” In addition, many buyers who visited the site showed great interest by discussing potential cooperation with Yangpyeong-gun.


Governor Jeon Jin-seon said, “Participating in this Food Week was a valuable opportunity to promote the excellence of Yangpyeong’s agricultural and food products and its clean nature both domestically and internationally,” adding, “We plan to continuously enhance the value of local brands and make strides toward the global market.”


Meanwhile, amid the ‘K-Food’ craze, Yangpyeong-gun’s local specialties plan to take on new challenges toward the global market through this Food Week.
