Singer Lim Young-woong has supported Christmas gifts for children suffering from pediatric cancer, leukemia, and rare incurable diseases. On the 2nd, the Korea Pediatric Cancer Foundation (Chairman Lee Seong-hee) announced that singer Lim Young-woong donated 2 million won from the prize money of the Good Star King Competition to support year-end Christmas gifts for children with pediatric cancer and leukemia. Good Star is a donation platform that supports the positive influence of stars. It operates by encouraging fans to watch videos and songs of participating singers in the King Competition and donating prize money according to the rankings.
The Christmas gift support project conducted in Lim Young-woong’s name is aimed at comforting the bodies and minds of children who have been battling illness for a long time during the Christmas season. To give the children a precious day for Christmas, various gift boxes will be prepared to bring joy. Hong Seung-yoon, director of the Korea Pediatric Cancer Foundation, said, “We are grateful for this good deed that warms even the frozen hearts in the suddenly cold weather. We support singer Lim Young-woong’s positive influence and future activities.”
This is not Lim Young-woong’s first donation. In October, he donated all 1.2 billion won from ticket sales of the 'Hana Bank Charity Soccer Match' held at Daejeon World Cup Stadium to World Vision and Community Chest of Korea. Also, on May 8th, Parents’ Day, he donated 200 million won in the name of his fan club ‘Young-woong Era’ to the Community Chest of Korea (Chairman Kim Byung-joon).
Meanwhile, Lim Young-woong is scheduled to meet fans at his concert ‘Lim Young-woong Recital’ from the 2nd to the 4th of next month at Gocheok Sky Dome in Guro-gu, Seoul.
