Icheon-si Receives 'Excellence Award' for Four Consecutive Years in Gyeonggi-do Housing Administration Evaluation

Evaluated as an Excellent Case at the Housing Welfare Promotion Center

On the 2nd, Icheon City in Gyeonggi Province announced that it received the "Excellence Award" in the "2024 Housing Administration Excellent City/County Evaluation" conducted by Gyeonggi Province.

The housing administration evaluation is conducted annually to improve the level of housing administration services in Gyeonggi Province through the dissemination of excellent policies and system improvements in accordance with the Framework Act on Housing, the Housing Act, and the Apartment Management Act. The city explained that with this award, it has received the "Excellence Award" for four consecutive years.

Icheon City was selected as one of the top six cities/counties in Group 3 in the quantitative evaluation, recognized for housing supply and quality improvement, activation of apartment management, enhancement of residential welfare, and housing administration participation performance. The city added that it also received consistently high scores in the qualitative evaluation in areas such as apartment community activation, residential welfare, and implementation of self-support projects.

This year, the city implemented residential environment improvement projects such as Hope Housing, support for vulnerable groups including the disabled, rural house repairs, and apartment support. It also operated facilities and programs for accompanying vulnerable residents, including a residential welfare promotion center, a community care project, and an on-site acquisition tax consultation office. In particular, the "Residential Welfare Promotion Center for Accompanying Vulnerable Residents," operated in June, was selected as an excellent case in this evaluation.
