Samsung Display Promotes 16 Executives Including 6 Vice Presidents

QD-OLED Innovation, Promotion of Young Leaders

On the 2nd, Samsung Display announced its '2025 Regular Executive Personnel Appointment,' promoting a total of 16 people, including 6 vice presidents, 9 senior managers, and 1 master.


Samsung Display explained that it appointed key figures who contributed to business performance and new product innovation to solidify its leadership in the display market and secure future growth engines.

Kim Bong-han, Vice President and Head of the Overseas Legal Group in the Legal Office, was responsible for major supply contracts from the early stages of the Americas business. He was promoted in recognition of his contribution to global business expansion, including securing approval from the U.S. government during the recent acquisition process of the American company eMagin.


Yoon Ji-hwan, Vice President and Head of the Process Development Team in the Large Display Business Division, was highly evaluated for leading QD-OLED performance improvement through the development of new device structures and optimization of process conditions, as well as contributing to panel characteristic differentiation through material development for IT new products.


Han Jun-ho, Vice President and Head of the People Team, was recognized for securing and nurturing outstanding talent in next-generation technology fields such as Oxide and Tandem, and for timely supporting new businesses through proactive workforce reallocation.


Hwang Ui-hoon, Vice President and Head of the YE (Yield Enhancement) Team in the Small and Medium Display Business Division, led yield improvement of key flagship products and expansion of manufacturing productivity, realizing timely supply of new products.


Samsung Display strengthened the future competitiveness of the organization by promoting many vice presidents in their 40s, selecting young leaders based on performance and growth potential.


Ki Chang-do, Vice President and Head of the FAB2 Team in the Small and Medium Display Business Division, led the reduction of process defect rates and stabilization of yield in the QD-OLED line, significantly improving productivity by enhancing OLED equipment operation rates and securing compatibility between lines.


Lee Ho-jung, Vice President and Head of the Product Planning Team in the Small and Medium Display Business Division, contributed to expanding the proportion of flagship products and acquiring new customers through promotions utilizing OLED new technologies such as Ultra Thin Glass and Foldable.


Samsung Display has completed the executive personnel appointments through the 2025 executive personnel announcement and plans to finalize organizational restructuring and position appointments soon.
