On the 1st, at the Kingston Heath Golf Club (par 73) in Melbourne, Australia, during the 4th round of the ISPS Handa Australian Women's Open (total prize money 3.4 million Australian dollars), she recorded two eagles, four birdies, three bogeys, and one double bogey for a 3-under-par 70. She finished with a total score of 17-under-par 274, beating second-place Ashley Bouchard (South Africa) by two strokes. This marked her first victory in one year and six months since the Earth Mondamin Cup on the 2023 Japan Ladies Professional Golf Association (JLPGA) Tour. The winner's prize for this tournament was 289,000 Australian dollars (approximately 260 million Korean won).


Shin Ji-ae has won 11 times on the Ladies Professional Golf Association (LPGA) Tour, 6 times on the Ladies European Tour (LET), 30 times on the JLPGA Tour, 21 times on the Korean Ladies Professional Golf Association (KLPGA) Tour, and 5 times on the Australian Ladies Professional Golf Tour. She has also topped the Ladies Asian Tour once. Although the total adds up to 74 wins, due to co-sanctioned tournaments, her official total professional wins stand at 65. She expressed, "I am very happy to engrave my name on the winner's trophy again," adding, "I have never had a bad day at this tournament, but today I couldn't relax until the very end."


Amateur national representative Yang Hyo-jin (Namnyeong High School), born in 2007, performed well, finishing 3rd with 7-under-par 284. Grace Kim tied for 4th place (6-under-par 285) alongside 2019 major winner Hannah Green (both from Australia), the KPMG Women's PGA Championship champion.
