Foreign Language Education Achievement Sharing Meeting Held... Exploring Cases of Foreign Language Education Management

The Gyeonggi Provincial Office of Education (Superintendent Lim Tae-hee) announced on the 1st that it held a foreign language education achievement sharing meeting under the theme of "Foreign Language Education to Cultivate Global Talents, Beyond the Classroom to the World, Drawing the Future Together" on the 30th at Sono Calm in Goyang.

This achievement sharing meeting was organized to share excellent cases of foreign language education such as international exchange and AI digital textbook-based classes, and to explore the direction of future-oriented foreign language education that cultivates global talents. About 130 participants including excellent case presenters, responsible teachers, and education professionals attended.


In the morning, presentations on excellent international exchange operation cases by school level were held.


△ (Ansan Haesol Elementary School) Cultural exchange and class exchange cases with a Philippine elementary school △ (Pungsaeng Middle School) A classroom connected to the world through real-time communication, operating an exchange model continuing with mutual visits △ (Inchang High School) Cases of operating world citizenship education classes through international exchange with a Danish school were presented.


In the afternoon, participants shared curricula and classes by division and discussed ways to expand them in school settings.


△ (Secondary English) Modular class design model in preparation for the introduction of AI digital textbooks in 2025 △ (Elementary English) Student-customized English classes using AI PengTok and Hi-Learning △ (Second Foreign Language) Sharing essay-type evaluation using Edutech for Chinese language in response to the 2022 revised curriculum, and Japanese international exchange cases, discovering good foreign language education models.


Hyun Gye-myeong, Director of the Convergence Education Policy Division at the Provincial Office of Education, said, "Next year, the 2022 revised curriculum will be expanded and applied to middle and high schools, and AI digital textbooks will be introduced in the English subject," adding, "We will discover excellent foreign language education models to respond to changes in education and seek directions for foreign language education to cultivate future talents."
