Enjoying the Beauty of Yangsancheon and Hwangsan Park on an Eco-Friendly Course
Yangsan City announced on the 1st that the 18th Yangsan National Half Marathon, held with families, concluded successfully.
Marathon enthusiasts gathered at Yangsan Sports Complex and started sequentially from 9 a.m. (Half marathon at 9:00, 10 km at 9:07, 5 km at 9:14). Runners on the half marathon course enjoyed the beauty of Yangsancheon Stream and Hwangsan Park while running along Gangbyeon-ro, National Route 35, and Nakdong-ro in Hwangsan Park in Yangsan City.
Notably, the course was completely changed from last year’s route, which ran from Yeongdae Bridge to Yangsan General Industrial Complex, to a more eco-friendly route. This change received enthusiastic responses from participants, resulting in the early registration of 7,000 runners.
Yangsan City also made every effort to ensure the safe operation of the marathon. Through thorough preparation and management to prevent accidents, the event was completed without any injuries, earning the trust of Yangsan citizens and participants. This success was attributed to the cooperation of participants and volunteers as well as meticulous prior preparations.
Additionally, emphasizing the family-friendly nature of the Yangsan Half Marathon, a children’s cosplay unit event was held, creating unforgettable memories for family participants.
