Pocheon City Council Conducts Second Half of 2024 Legislative Training Session

The Pocheon City Council in Gyeonggi Province (Chairman Im Jong-hoon) announced on the 29th that it conducted the "2024 Pocheon City Council Second Half Legislative Training" over three days from the 25th to the 27th in Jeju City.

This legislative training was organized to strengthen practical skills in various fields such as improving Pocheon City's financial status and addressing its issues, strategies for reviewing administrative affairs and budgets, and speech techniques, helping to maintain healthy and efficient legislative activities.


In particular, with the 2nd regular session starting on December 2nd and the review of the 2025 main budget approaching, the training focused on comparing and analyzing the financial status with other local governments to understand the current state of Pocheon's finances and to provide intensive education on efficient budget review strategies. Through this, it is expected to derive effective policies for the welfare and development of local residents.


Additionally, to deepen understanding and enhance expertise in administrative affairs, education on audit and investigation strategies and techniques was conducted to support the executive branch in carrying out efficient and transparent administration, and time was spent learning detailed data analysis methods for more efficient and professional administrative oversight.


Chairman Im Jong-hoon stated, "It is necessary to propose policies that solve practical problems in the local community and to continuously improve them," adding, "In that sense, this training was a meaningful time to effectively carry out higher-level legislative activities to protect the interests of local residents and promote regional development."


He continued, "We will do our best to conduct education on various topics to strengthen the practical capabilities of council members and staff so that they can carry out legislative activities for the citizens."
