Namyangju City Submits 3rd Supplementary Budget Proposal Amounting to 2.5608 Trillion Won

2nd Supplementary Budget Increased by 60.1 Billion KRW
Focus on Stabilizing Local Finances and Completing Livelihood Stabilization Projects

Namyangju City, Gyeonggi Province (Mayor Joo Gwang-deok) submitted the 3rd supplementary budget proposal for 2024 to the city council on the 29th.

This supplementary budget proposal amounts to 2.5608 trillion KRW, an increase of 60.1 billion KRW compared to the 2nd supplementary budget, consisting of 2.1713 trillion KRW in the general account and 389.5 billion KRW in the special account.


The city formulated the budget focusing on stabilizing local finances and smoothly completing projects aimed at public welfare.


Key projects include budgets for public welfare such as △support for K-Pass and THE Gyeonggi Pass (3.3 billion KRW) △financial support for the Metropolitan Transport Improvement Plan by the Daegwang Committee (1 billion KRW) △operation of the public bus management system (2.3 billion KRW) to realize transportation welfare that citizens can feel.


Additionally, 1.8 billion KRW is allocated for the creation of barefoot walking paths reflecting citizen demand, 18 billion KRW is allocated for the transfer of funds for the new city hall in preparation for the leap to a 1 million mega city, and 1.7 billion KRW is provided for the construction of the Gungjip parking lot to revitalize local tourism.


Mayor Joo Gwang-deok stated, “This 3rd supplementary budget focuses on the smooth completion of urgent projects that can serve as a driving force for public welfare and Namyangju’s super growth. We will do our best to improve the quality of life for our citizens.”


The 3rd supplementary budget proposal is scheduled to be reviewed and approved at the 308th regular session of the Namyangju City Council, which will be held until the 16th of next month.
