An Indian female influencer conducted an experiment by walking barefoot to check the cleanliness of the streets in Japan. She was amazed that her socks did not get dirty even after strolling through the streets.

On the 28th (local time), Hong Kong media outlet South China Morning Post (SCMP) reported, "A famous Indian influencer conducted an experiment by walking barefoot on the streets to assess the cleanliness of Japan's streets." The influencer, Simran Bala Jain, who has 1.4 million followers, mainly creates travel and beauty content.

She bought a pair of white socks at a convenience store and then walked through the crowded streets of Japan. Afterward, she checked the condition of her socks and was surprised. Despite walking on the streets, her white socks remained clean. Showing the clean socks, she exclaimed, "(Japan is) really crazy. It is the cleanest country in the world."

Most netizens who saw the video responded with comments like "As expected, Japan," "I am always amazed by the cleanliness when I visit Japan," "It’s so different compared to other countries," and "I want to visit Japan." Some criticized that she did not specify the distance walked or the time taken during the experiment, saying, "It’s obviously clean because she only walked for a few minutes."

Japan is famous for its clean streets and efficient waste management system. Cleanliness and hygiene are considered important cultural orders in Japan, and since most people take their trash home, public trash bins are rarely seen in Tokyo.
