UltraGrid is a rack-type ultracapacitor (UC) system capable of reliably supplying megawatt (MW)-level power. It is expected to be supplied domestically and internationally to stabilize power for renewable energy facilities such as wind and solar power generation. This product is attracting attention as a core technology that can solve power instability issues caused by output fluctuations by supplying MW-level power within 0.1 seconds.
According to the industry, the adoption of rack-type UC systems is accelerating mainly in Europe, including Germany. The global market is projected to grow to 100 billion KRW by 2026 and over 500 billion KRW by 2030.
Hong Young-ho, CEO of LS Materials, said, "UltraGrid can be utilized in various fields requiring large-scale power, including renewable energy facilities, artificial intelligence data centers (AIDC), and energy storage systems (ESS). We will continue to expand the scope of market applications going forward."
