Gyeonggi Province annually divides its 31 cities and counties into three groups based on population size and evaluates their comprehensive administrative capabilities regarding national core tasks and major provincial policies.

Yeoju City, which belongs to Group 3 along with 11 other cities and counties, was evaluated on 105 detailed indicators across seven major policy areas: ▲ A proper nation where common sense is restored ▲ A dynamic economy led by the private sector and supported by the government ▲ Warm companionship and a society where everyone is happy ▲ A bold future created through autonomy and creativity ▲ A global pivotal nation contributing to freedom, peace, and prosperity ▲ A local era where anywhere in Korea is a good place to live ▲ Major provincial policies.

In this evaluation, the city achieved a perfect score in 100 out of 105 indicators related to government joint evaluation-linked policies and major provincial policies, earning a record-high score of 100.56 points and the honor of being an excellent city and county.

This achievement can be attributed to the establishment of detailed implementation plans for achieving indicator-specific goals at the beginning of the year, ▲ monthly performance review meetings to check progress ▲ customized consulting through one-on-one training for indicator managers ▲ and the establishment of an organic cooperation system through interdepartmental communication, reflecting continuous and systematic administrative efforts.

Mayor Lee Chung-woo of Yeoju said, “This achievement is the result of over a thousand public officials doing their best in their assigned tasks, and I am very pleased that our high level of administrative service and capability has been recognized through being selected as an excellent institution for three consecutive years.” He added, “We will continue to create a happy Yeoju City for citizens through proactive administration and high-quality administrative services.”
