Jungnang-gu (Mayor Ryu Gyeong-gi) held the inauguration ceremony for the Women-Friendly City Resident Participation Group on the 28th.
At the event, 22 local residents interested in women-friendly policies were appointed as members of the Resident Participation Group. During their two-year term, the group will be active in various fields such as women's welfare, gender equality, jobs and care, safety and urban spaces, and local communities.
In particular, they will identify gender imbalance factors and inconveniences in daily life, propose policies based on these findings, and actively cooperate with the district to create a city where women and socially vulnerable groups can live safely.
Ryu Gyeong-gi, Mayor of Jungnang-gu, said, "This inauguration ceremony is an important starting point for 'Jungnang, a women-friendly city created together with residents,'" adding, "We will continuously cooperate with the Resident Participation Group to ensure that residents' voices are practically reflected in policies."
