On the 27th, Muan-gun, Jeollanam-do announced on the 28th that it conducted a training session in a multipurpose auditorium to strengthen its response capabilities against bioterrorism.
The training, attended by about 100 participants including County Governor Kim San, public health center staff, fire department, police, and airport quarantine office, was organized to improve initial response capabilities to bioterrorism and to enhance cooperation with related agencies.

Bioterrorism is a threatening act that involves dispersing viruses, bacteria, toxins, and other agents to the public, which can cause mass casualties. Therefore, early response to such incidents is extremely important.
The training included various activities such as initial response education for bioterrorism, training on multi-detection kits and specimen transport container packaging, and practical exercises on putting on and taking off personal protective equipment.
Kim Seong-cheol, head of the public health center, stated, “Through this training, we improved the on-site response capabilities of the initial bioterrorism response personnel and strengthened the cooperative system with related agencies. We will continue to do our best to establish a rapid response system that protects the lives of residents and ensures safety.”
