Promoted to Vice President Just Over a Year After Executive Director Promotion

Shin Yu-yeol, the eldest son of Shin Dong-bin, Chairman of Lotte, and Head of Future Growth at Lotte Holdings, has been promoted to Vice President. This comes just over a year after his promotion to Executive Director last year.

On the 28th, Lotte Group announced a regular executive reshuffle, stating, "Shin Yu-yeol, Executive Director in charge of Future Growth at Lotte Holdings, has been promoted to Vice President and will take a leading role in management."

Born in 1986, Vice President Shin majored in Environmental Informatics at Keio University in Japan and completed an MBA program at Columbia University in the United States. He began his career at Nomura Securities in 2008 and worked at Nomura Singapore Limited until 2020.

He then moved to Lotte Japan, serving as Head of Sales and Planning Manager at Lotte Holdings Japan. Subsequently, he worked at Lotte Chemical Tokyo Branch, Lotte Holdings Future Growth Task Force, and Lotte Biologics Global Strategy Office, leading Lotte Group’s future and global businesses. He also served as CEO of Lotte Strategic Investment (LSI) and Lotte Financial, building expertise in the financial sector.

Lotte explained that Vice President Shin has carried out various tasks domestically and internationally, including discovering new business and technology opportunities and promoting global collaboration projects.

With this promotion, Vice President Shin will take the lead in new business and global operations this year. He is expected to establish new businesses such as bio contract development and manufacturing organization (CDMO) and pioneer global markets for core businesses, laying the foundation for the group’s growth.
