Although honorary road names are not used as official addresses, this system assigns nicknames to specific road sections to enhance the city's image and promote international exchange and business attraction. Accordingly, Pyeongtaek City explained that this is the third honorary road name designated in the city, following 'Wonsimchang-ro' and 'Sobang-gwan I Byeong-gon-gil'.

This honorary road naming honors the Marine Police for their contributions to citizen safety through various activities such as marine accident rescue, crime prevention, and environmental protection at Pyeongtaek Port.

A city official stated, "We expect that this honorary road naming will raise public awareness of the importance of the Marine Police and enhance marine safety consciousness among citizens."
