Gyeongnam Information University (President Kim Tae-sang) Local Content Focus University Project Group recently held the ‘2024 Performance Expansion Festa’ and ‘Pop-up Store’ to share various achievements of participating students at Homers Hotel in Suyeong-gu and Deokpo Market in Sasang-gu, respectively, the university announced on the 28th.
About 60 people attended the Performance Expansion Festa held at Homers Hotel, including 50 current students participating in the university’s Local Content Focus University Project linked major, professors from participating departments, and startup supporters composed of experts from various fields.
Gyeongnam Information College is holding the Local Content Performance Expansion Festa Awards Ceremony.
The Festa shared the results of various extracurricular programs aimed at strengthening students’ local startup capabilities over the past year, including local startup-related courses (Capstone Design, Local Startup Practice, etc.), hackathon competitions, idea challenges, and mentoring, while promoting successful cases.
Additionally, to provide students with hands-on startup experience, an experimental startup ‘Pop-up Store’ operated at ‘Hannae Happiness Village’ in Deokpo Market, Sasang-gu, where students sold their own creations and prototypes, attracting significant interest from local residents.
Lee Won-hee, director of the Local Content Focus University Project Group, said, “Through this Performance Expansion Festa and Pop-up Store, students had the opportunity to gain practical experience in local startups and realize creative ideas,” adding, “We will continue to promote youth local startup capabilities and regional co-prosperity through various programs reflecting local characteristics.”
