Gwangju City, Gyeonggi Province (Mayor Bang Se-hwan) announced on the 28th that it conducted training on using generative AI ChatGPT for over 40 public officials at the city hall's computer training center on the 25th and 26th.

This training was organized to enhance understanding of AI utilization as artificial intelligence (AI) technology has recently advanced and is being applied across daily life and industries.
The training invited a ChatGPT expert instructor and focused on practical exercises that employees can use on-site, while emphasizing ethical issues and responsible use of technology as AI becomes more widespread.
A Gwangju City official stated, “Through this training, we will do our best to help public officials improve their understanding of ChatGPT to promote efficient work and responsible use of AI technology.”
Meanwhile, the city plans to conduct separate ChatGPT training for senior officials in the future to deepen understanding of AI and ethical responsibility.
