This final results report meeting was organized to present the research and operational results of specialized models conducted by the leading education support offices since March, and to discuss the expansion of pilot programs and future development directions. About 60 people, including Gyeonggi shared school officers and specialized researchers in each model field, will attend.
The report meeting will begin with a presentation from the Gwangju Hanam Education Support Office, followed by presentations of the application results of the researched and developed programs by each leading education support office.
▲ Yongin’s small-scale hub shared school to address regional disparities ▲ Gimpo’s academic coaching, multicultural shared school, and Icheon’s character (separate) education shared school to support educationally marginalized students ▲ Gwangju Hanam’s reading character and IT/career shared schools for character education ▲ Seongnam’s AI digital semiconductor challenge shared school, Yongin and Icheon’s semiconductor shared schools, and Paju’s edutech and cultural arts shared schools for future competency enhancement will be presented by researchers and officers.
Yongin overcame educational imbalance issues and the limitations of small schools through its small-scale hub shared school, while Gimpo’s academic coaching, multicultural shared school, and Icheon’s HUG shared school developed academic support measures for educationally marginalized students.
The Gwangju Hanam region prepared character education methods utilizing local resources through its reading character and IT/career shared schools.
Additionally, the digital and semiconductor shared schools developed in Seongnam, Yongin, and Icheon collaborated with local institutions and universities to foster understanding of the semiconductor industry and support growth as future talents.
Paju’s edutech and cultural arts shared schools provided systematic program operations, creating opportunities for students to develop expertise in career fields.
Subsequently, each leading education support office will produce and distribute a final research report based on analysis of results such as student satisfaction, student growth levels, program appropriateness and effectiveness, and generalization plans, together with specialized researchers.
Kim In-sook, the regional education officer of the Provincial Office of Education, said, “We proactively researched and developed various future education models tailored to regional circumstances to address educational disparities and educational marginalization issues. We will strive to disseminate and expand the researched and developed models throughout Gyeonggi Province.”
