Dong-A Socio Group Shares Warmth with Vulnerable Groups through Love Kimchi Making and Donation Activities

Dong-A Socio Holdings, Dong-A Pharmaceutical, and Dong-A ST, all part of the Dong-A Socio Group, are fulfilling their social responsibilities through volunteer work and donation activities as the year-end approaches, under the mission of 'Endless Challenge for the Health and Happiness of Humanity.'

Dongcheon-su, the bottled water and beverage manufacturing affiliate of Dong-A Socio Group, held a 'Sharing Love Kimchi-Making Event' on the 14th with major government offices and 12 villages in Hwabuk-myeon, Sangju-si, Gyeongsangbuk-do, where its headquarters is located. The kimchi-sharing event is one of the social contribution activities that Dongcheon-su has been continuing for eight years since 2017. Every year, about 20 employees participate to make kimchi and share warmth with Hwabuk-myeon villages, vulnerable groups in the region, and welfare centers in Sangju.

Especially this year, the Hwabuk Women's Association attended and made about 500 heads of kimchi together, making it a meaningful occasion to convey neighborly love with local residents. A company official said, "We hope that the kimchi-sharing event with employees will be of some help to the community and neighbors during the cold winter," and added that they will continue various activities to grow and share with the local community.

Yongma Logistics, the logistics affiliate of Dong-A Socio Group, donated 5 million won to Anseong-si, Gyeonggi-do. The donation will be used for various welfare projects in Anseong-si.

Yongma Logistics started as a transportation business in 1983 and has grown into a comprehensive logistics service company expanding its scope to storage, international forwarding, and logistics consulting. It currently has its headquarters in Gimpo, Gyeonggi-do, and operates a logistics hub center in Wongok-myeon, Anseong.

Since 2015, Yongma Logistics has been practicing continuous donations to promote regional coexistence. Through active sharing and volunteer activities, it received a commendation from the Governor of Gyeonggi Province at last year's Sharing Merit Awards.
