Lighting at Paju Stadium Auxiliary Courts, Including Basketball Courts, Operates Until 10 PM

Paju City, Gyeonggi Province (Mayor Kim Kyung-il) announced on the 28th that it has decided to improve the sports facility environment by reflecting opinions from the middle school parents' mobile mayor's office held on the 13th.

At this mobile mayor's office for parents, there was a concern that the auxiliary fields of Paju Stadium, such as the inline rink and basketball court, were dark, raising safety concerns for students.

Accordingly, Paju City decided to operate the lighting, which was previously only turned on when users were present in the sports facilities, continuously until 10 PM every night. This measure aims to enhance the safety and convenience of youth.

Mayor Kim Kyung-il of Paju City stated, “Thanks to the active participation of parents, young people can now enjoy sports activities in a better environment,” and added, “We will continue to implement practical policies for youth based on voices from the field.”

Meanwhile, in October, Paju City utilized the closed gateball court in Unjeong Hanbit Park to create a futsal field, which is open free of charge to citizens, allowing Paju residents, including youth, to enjoy sports activities during their leisure time.
