Sacheon-si Selected as an Excellent Institution for the 2024 National Happiness Civil Service Office

Comprehensive Evaluation and Selection of Internal and External Spaces and Service Levels of Civil Service Offices for Education Offices and Special Local Administrative Agencies

Sacheon City in Gyeongnam announced on the 28th that it has been selected as an excellent institution for the '2024 National Happiness Civil Service Office' organized by the Ministry of the Interior and Safety.

Accordingly, the city held a plaque ceremony for the National Happiness Civil Service Office with the attendance of Mayor Park Dongsik, related officials, and about 10 others.

The 'National Happiness Civil Service Office' is selected by the Ministry of the Interior and Safety through a comprehensive evaluation of the internal and external spaces and service levels of civil service offices across local governments, education offices, and special local administrative agencies nationwide. The certification period is three years upon selection.

This year, the final selection was made after strict evaluations including document screening, on-site inspection experience evaluation, and customer satisfaction assessment.

Sacheon City received certification as a National Happiness Civil Service Office for the first time this year, and the certification is valid until December 31, 2027.

The city increased efficiency by placing similar civil service work desks adjacent to each other, and provided a comfortable and convenient civil service office environment with floor guide lines for civil service visitors, a book cafe, and a space agency promotional hall.

In particular, the civil service office received high marks for various priority services, including dedicated parking spaces for civil service visitors to improve accessibility, shortening the civil service processing period, and operating a one-stop civil service desk.

Mayor Park said, "We will do our best to improve the environment and systems of the civil service office so that all visitors to Sacheon City Hall's civil service office can be satisfied," and added, "We will strive not only to maintain this year's new certification but also to obtain recertification in the future."
