Taekwang Industrial Sponsors Choir Concert at Child Protection Facility

Taekwang Industrial sponsored an event to raise scholarships for children living in child protection facilities and university students from those facilities.

Taekwang Industrial announced on the 28th that it sponsored the '2024 Life and Sharing Concert' held at Lotte Concert Hall in Seoul on the 27th. At the concert, the 'Happiness Tree Boys and Girls Choir' and the 'Happiness Tree Philharmonic Orchestra' performed together. The choir consists of about 20 children living in child protection facilities in the Seoul and Gyeonggi areas.

Taekwang Group's textile and petrochemical affiliate, Taekwang Industrial, announced on the 28th that it sponsored the '2024 Life and Sharing Concert' organized to raise scholarships for children living in child protection facilities and university students from those facilities.

Since 2016, Taekwang Industrial has supported the choir to discover the talents of children living in group homes. The company also purchases concert tickets and distributes them to employees so they can cheer for the choir children at the performance venue. Group homes are small-scale child protection facilities with fewer than seven children, where children in need of protection live in a residential environment similar to a general family.

The donations and sponsorship funds raised through the concert are provided as scholarships for children living in group homes and university students from group homes.

A company official said, "We will always take an interest and continue to expand support so that the children can nurture their precious dreams and not lose confidence."
