Martial Arts '183rd KITA CEO Breakfast Meeting' Lecture
"Korea's Sustainable Growth Method, Only Technological Innovation"
Hwang Cheol-ju, chairman of Juseong Engineering and a first-generation venture entrepreneur, emphasized on the 28th that the company's new growth comes from the '99% trust' of its members. In an era of high management uncertainty, only when the entrepreneur's '1% innovation' and the members' 99% trust combine can a strong growth engine be created. He stressed that to increase trust among members of organizations, including companies, active 'sharing' is essential, and without trust, a leader's leadership inevitably weakens.

Chairman Hwang made these remarks on the morning of the same day at the 183rd Korea International Trade Association (KITA) CEO Breakfast Meeting held at the Grand Intercontinental Parnas in Samseong-dong, Gangnam-gu, Seoul. About 200 attendees, including Yoon Jin-sik, chairman of KITA, and representatives from trading companies and member companies, participated in the breakfast meeting.
In his lecture titled "The New Growth 1% and 99%?", Chairman Hwang shared his management philosophy that led the globalization of domestically produced semiconductor equipment through proprietary technology with the attendees.
He said, "New growth is possible on new standards," adding, "When the entrepreneur's 1% innovation and the members' 99% trust combine, new growth is created."
Chairman Hwang cited 'sharing' as the fastest way to build trust among members. He emphasized, "Without trust, there is no leadership."
He stated that the only way for South Korea to achieve sustainable growth is through technological innovation. He said, "In today's world where information and technology are shared at the speed of light, South Korea accounts for only 0.07% of the world's land area and 0.64% of the global population, and even lacks natural resources," adding, "The only way for Korea to live better and be happier is through technological innovation."
Yoon Jin-sik, chairman of KITA, said, "The deep insights and wisdom conveyed by the protagonist who created a global success story through challenge and innovation will be an important key to navigating the era of change," and added, "I hope the attendees will leap forward as 1% leaders driving new growth through this lecture."
KITA has been holding CEO breakfast meetings since 2005 to support knowledge sharing and networking among member companies. Speakers at the breakfast meetings have included senior government policy officials, CEOs of leading companies, and prominent figures in the fields of economy, culture, society, and arts.
