All eight members of the Guri City Council (Chairman Shin Dong-hwa, Vice Chairman Kim Seong-tae, Operations Committee Chairman Jeong Eun-cheol, Councilor Kwon Bong-su, Councilor Yang Kyung-ae, Councilor Kim Yong-hyun, Councilor Kim Han-seul, and Councilor Lee Kyung-hee) attended the visit, which proceeded in the order of Guri Agricultural and Marine Products Wholesale Market, Guri Distribution Complex Market, Guri Station of Subway Line 8, Sutak E District Redevelopment Promotion Project site, and Goguryeo Blacksmith Village.

At the first site, Guri Agricultural and Marine Products Wholesale Market, they listened to the approval process for attracting live fish merchants from Hwangsan and installing live fish collection facilities, raising suspicions about the project promotion process that citizens find difficult to accept.

At the second site, Guri Distribution Complex Market, they heard about the plan for collecting arrears from Citizen Mart and the future plan to promote the entry of Lotte Mart. At the third site, Guri Station of Subway Line 8, they conveyed the difficulties citizens experience while using the subway and requested to explore ways to alleviate the burden of the subcontracting business expenses for Subway Line 8, which must be continuously borne.

At the fourth site, the Sutak E District Redevelopment Promotion Project, they urged measures to prevent citizens from suffering due to construction noise and dust and requested a speedy project promotion. At the final fifth site, Goguryeo Blacksmith Village, they asked to find ways to utilize this neglected place in a way that is useful to the citizens of Guri.

After the site visits, Shin Dong-hwa, Chairman of the Guri City Council, said, “It was a meaningful time to visit major project sites, listen to on-site difficulties, and convey the voices of citizens,” adding, “Based on today’s site visit experience, we will conduct the remaining 2nd regular session schedule, including the review of the 2025 budget proposal and responses to administrative questions, thoroughly to resolve all citizens’ concerns and difficulties.”
