Gwangju City is launching a "Storytelling Gwangju" tour product featuring local representative figures and modern historical culture.

The released products are themed "Letters from Mudeung" and "Yangnim Romantic Moonlight Tour," conducted as bus tours moving through Mudeungsan and Yangnim-dong.

The tour, held three times in total on the 29th of this month, December 1st, and December 7th, departs at 3 PM and stays 90 minutes at each location, allowing participants to feel the depth of the region along with stories of historical figures.

"Letters from Mudeung" is conducted with an actor serving as a cultural commentator, who shares hidden historical stories within the beautiful scenery of Mudeungsan. The tour ascends the mountain from the entrance of Mudeungsan National Park, passing Munbinjeongsa, Jeungsimgyo, Uijaegyo, and reaching Chunsulheon. It is a special program that reflects on Gwangju's historical significance through letters left by Heo Baek-ryeon, Choi Heung-jong, and Choi Won-soon, figures representing the spirit of Gwangju.

The "Yangnim Romantic Art Tour" is conducted with Modan Girl, an actor and commentator who operates with the concept of time travel. Following the course from Yangnim Church, Owen Memorial Hall, and the Holly Tree Hill to Sajik Park, participants walk through Yangnim-dong where modern history and art blend.

This tour product can be reserved through Kumho Express bookings and departs from Gwangju Songjeong Station intercity bus stop and U-Square Terminal. The participation fee is 10,000 KRW.

Yoon Chang-mo, Director of the Tourism City Division, said, "This tour will be a great opportunity for tourists to deeply experience Gwangju's historical and cultural values," and added, "We will continue to develop and introduce various tourism content programs."
