Oh Eon-seok, District Mayor, "Residents' Safety First, Full Effort on Countermeasures"
Dobong-gu (District Mayor Oh Eon-seok) announced the citizen action guidelines in preparation for heavy snowfall through the district's promotional media on November 27.
The district provided detailed citizen action guidelines using the district website, official blog, and text messages to prevent any damage to residents caused by the heavy snowfall.
Oh Eon-seok, Mayor of Dobong-gu, said, “A large amount of snow is expected until the morning of the 28th. We hope residents familiarize themselves with the citizen action guidelines for heavy snowfall to avoid any related damage,” and added, “The district will prioritize the safety of residents and make every effort to implement heavy snowfall countermeasures.”
On November 27 at 7 a.m., due to the continuous heavy and strong snowfall in the Seoul area, the district raised the snow removal measure from Level 1 to Level 2 starting at 7 a.m. and is implementing related countermeasures.
On the morning of the 27th, the district deployed 14 snow removal equipment units on side roads and sidewalks with district and neighborhood office staff, functional organizations, and residents to carry out snow removal operations. A total of 189 tons of calcium chloride, salt, and eco-friendly snow melting agents were urgently supplied in the morning and afternoon.
Currently, a 24-hour emergency standby team is organized and operating for residents' safety, and the Dobong-gu Office Road Division and neighborhood community centers are receiving reports of damage related to the heavy snowfall.
