"Protect the Environment and Enjoy Tax Deductions with Mobile Bill Application"
On the 27th, Changwon Special City in Gyeongnam conducted a random computerized drawing among 63,743 taxpayers who received this year's regular tax bills electronically and paid within the deadline.
Hong Nampyo, Mayor of Changwon Special City, is conducting a prize draw for electronic payment subscribers.
Through this drawing, 333 winners will be sent a congratulatory letter and a Nubijeon worth 30,000 KRW via registered mail.
Changwon City held the '2024 Local Tax Electronic Notification Diligent Taxpayer Prize Drawing' event for the first time this year to return the savings from electronic notification mailing costs to taxpayers and to promote a culture of sincere tax payment.
By applying for electronic notification, taxpayers can receive a tax credit of 800 KRW per bill, and if they use automatic payment, they can receive an additional 800 KRW credit, benefiting up to 1,600 KRW per bill.
Electronic notification can be applied for through Wetax, simple payment apps (Naver Pay, Kakao Pay, Payco), and financial institution apps, while automatic payment can be applied for through Wetax, financial institutions, district tax offices, and eup/myeon/dong administrative welfare centers.
Hong Nampyo, Mayor of Changwon Special City, said, “Through the mobile electronic notification service, you can easily check and pay your bills anytime and anywhere. It also helps practice carbon neutrality,” and added, “We ask for the citizens' active interest and applications.”
