Sharing Work Achievements and Discussing the Development Direction of the Korea Coast Guard
The West Sea Regional Coast Guard Agency (Commissioner Lee Myung-jun) held the "2024 Second Half Policy Advisory Committee Regular Meeting" on the 26th in the agency's main conference room to share and communicate key maritime police policies.

According to the West Sea Agency on the 27th, the Policy Advisory Committee is composed of civilian experts in maritime, legal, and medical fields. Through regular meetings held every half year, they share policies and current issues and provide practical advice to ensure that policies meet the expectations of the public.
The regular meeting was attended by 21 members, including Lee Hyuk-young, Chair of the Policy Advisory Committee. Two members who have actively contributed suggestions for policy formulation during their tenure as committee members were awarded certificates of appreciation. Additionally, 11 new members, including Jeong Hyun-taek, Chairman of the Mokpo Chamber of Commerce and Industry, were newly appointed. The meeting also involved sharing the policy implementation achievements of the year and gathering members' suggestions for next year's policy formulation.
Lee Myung-jun, Commissioner of the West Sea Regional Coast Guard Agency, stated, "We will actively reflect the suggestions of the Policy Advisory Committee to ensure that the maritime police's public policies and services are genuinely felt by the people."
