Goyang-si Begins Accepting Applications for Soil Conditioner Support Project

Goyang Special City in Gyeonggi Province (Mayor Lee Dong-hwan) announced on the 27th that it will begin accepting applications for the soil conditioner support project starting December 2.

Applicants must be farmers registered as agricultural business entities in Goyang City, and can apply at the administrative welfare center of the dong where their farmland is located from December 2 until February 20, 2025.

The city plans to provide support sequentially from 2026 to 2028 by dividing the entire area of Goyang City into three zones according to a three-year supply plan.

Soil conditioners will be supplied free of charge in appropriate amounts based on the calculated standard required quantity per unit area for the target supply regions. The supported items include siliceous materials, lime marl, and weathered rock.

A city official stated, “The supply of soil conditioners is expected to improve farmland with low effective silica content and acidic soil, helping to maintain and preserve soil fertility.”
