Gwangju City, Gyeonggi Province (Mayor Bang Se-hwan) announced on the 27th that it will promote the "2025 Internet of Things (IoT) Measurement Device Attachment Support Project" for effective management of air emission businesses to improve air quality.
Since 2022, the city has supported a total of 312 local businesses through IoT attachment support, and this year plans to invest about 500 million KRW in total project costs for support.
The city will advance the project schedule ahead of the planned time to prevent delays in the installation of IoT measurement devices and to ensure proper execution of the national subsidy project.
The support targets are small and medium-sized enterprises under the Framework Act on Small and Medium Enterprises and Type 4 and 5 businesses under the Air Quality Preservation Act.
This support project will prioritize businesses whose mandatory IoT measurement device installation deadline (June 30, 2025), enacted in 2022, is approaching, and up to 90% of the installation costs for IoT measurement devices can be supported.
Applications will be accepted from December 9 to December 20 at the Gyeonggi Environment and Energy Promotion Institute. Detailed criteria for business selection and other information can be found on the Gwangju City website’s public notices or the Gyeonggi Environment and Energy Promotion Institute website’s project announcement section.
