The KOSDAQ Association announced on the 27th that it held an awards ceremony selecting outstanding KOSDAQ companies with excellent technological capabilities and high growth potential as winners of the '16th Korea KOSDAQ Awards.' The highest honor, the Prime Minister's Award, went to Classys.

The Korea KOSDAQ Awards have been elevated to the Prime Minister's Award since 2022 and are jointly hosted by the KOSDAQ Association and the Ministry of SMEs and Startups. The ceremony was held at the Korea Exchange Conference Hall, attended by Kang Jun-hyun, Democratic Party Whip of the National Assembly's Political Affairs Committee; Min Kyung-wook, Vice President of the Korea Exchange; Kim Bong-deok, Director of Venture Policy at the Ministry of SMEs and Startups; and Lee Seung-woo, Deputy Director of the Financial Supervisory Service, among others.
The Korea KOSDAQ Awards are finalized through quantitative evaluations of management performance, market contribution, technology development, ESG management, and job creation activities, as well as qualitative evaluations including CEO interviews through corporate due diligence, followed by deliberations by a selection committee composed of external experts.
The selection committee consists of experts from academia and related organizations across various fields and accepted applications from companies between June 21 and July 31. Subsequently, awardees were selected through document screening and corporate due diligence in each category.
The highest honor, the Prime Minister's Award, was awarded to Classys. Classys specializes in beauty medical devices and personal beauty device cosmetics and contributes to the popularization of beauty medical care in over 70 countries worldwide, leading K-Beauty in the global market. Baek Seung-han, CEO of Classys, said, "I am deeply honored to receive the Prime Minister's Award, and I will continue to do my best to become the world's best beauty medical platform company covering all areas of energy-based skin beauty medical devices."
The Minister of SMEs and Startups Award went to Vitzrocell, the Chairman of the Financial Services Commission Award to PharmaResearch, and the Financial Supervisory Service Governor Award to Hi-Vision System. Additionally, Inox Advanced Materials, Wontec, and Gamseong Corporation received the Korea Exchange Chairman's Award.
The KOSDAQ Association President's Awards were given as follows: DearU for Next Generation Company Award, JVM and Samhyun for Technology Development Company Award, Kolmar BNH and Waldeks for Job Creation Company Award, and PNT and Clio for ESG Company Award.
Oh Heung-sik, President of the KOSDAQ Association, stated, "We will continue to discover excellent KOSDAQ companies that illuminate the KOSDAQ market and strive to enhance investor trust and the KOSDAQ brand value."
Awards recipients will receive benefits such as exemption from additional listing fees and change of listing fees at the Korea Exchange for one year, as well as free participation in training programs hosted by the KOSDAQ Association.
