Gyeonggi Peace Plaza was established in November 2018 and has been promoting unique events that residents can enjoy each season. The skating rink opening this winter is the second since last year, and the light sculpture exhibition is in its sixth year.

The 'skating rink' will be open daily from 10:00 AM to 5:10 PM from December 21 to January 29 of next year, with Mondays being closed days.

Anyone aged 6 and older can enjoy the skating rink without a reservation for an admission fee of 1,000 KRW and equipment rental fee of 2,000 KRW. Last year, the rink was 800㎡ in size, but this year it has expanded to 1,134㎡.

The 'light sculpture exhibition' will be held daily from 5:00 PM to 10:00 PM from December 1 to January 29 of next year, during the dusk hours when the sunset begins. At the right entrance of Gyeonggi Peace Plaza, a 7.2-meter-high LED sea and sailing ship themed around the invitation of light will welcome visitors to the light festival, and on both sides of the plaza, five photo zones including a Christmas sleigh and LED rainbow themed around the warmth of stars will be installed.

Byun Sang-gi, Administrative Management Officer of Gyeonggi Province, said, “We have prepared various winter programs at Gyeonggi Peace Plaza for residents to enjoy and create memories together. We ask for the interest of many residents and will continue to reflect various opinions to prepare even richer entertainment.”

For more details, information can be found on the Gyeonggi Peace Plaza website starting December 1.
